Burra të skalitur, të lashtë, epik si malet,
me zemër të derdhur në ar e të but` si dëbora,
këtyre majave kam parë, të heshtur të jetojn.
As këngët, jo as vallet, as nderin e fustanellat,
qëndisur me fije ari,
popuj të tjerë “fatlumë” nuk ua vjedhin dot.
Gratë e tyre të dlira, të bukura të bekuara,
të pastra si ujrat e burimeve,
më të hijshme s`gjen dot askund në bot`.
Tek i takoj, u jap nderin e merituar,
pastaj dorën nga pak, e fjalën që gjyshrit na mësuan.
Të çuditur ata stepen, e më shohin gjat e gjat.
Po, më vërejn dhe habiten,
se si i “vogël” un, gjej vet shtegun e humbur,
njoh fjalën e përzgjedhur në qindra e qindra shekuj.
Atje po lart në shpate, dhe pse ndër lugje e maja,
mbi det ata jetojn.
Askush nuk di të thot përse nuk vijnë teposht…
por un e di dhe lart, tek ta nxitoj të ngjitem,
t`i shoh t`i ndjek në valle.
Po po, me ta të rroj*.
Veç tyre askush tjetër, në botë më shumë nuk dinte,
sekretin pse burimet, dhe lulet erëmira,
pse uj i freskët, këngët, vallë pse atje burojn*!
Pse njerzit edhe delet jetojnë në harmoni
me fyej e këmborë…
Pse ngjan bariu i malit, me nje artist Hyjnor*!!!
Jo jo, askush prej njerzve nuk mund ta dijë vetishëm,
se atje lart mbi malet e zbardhur me dëborë,
lëviz një lumë i rëndë, që gurgullon nën zë, me prijsa shekullorë*.
As pse kjo grigja e tyre, me shumë fytyra e ngjyra,
me plisa e opinga, me fustanella e tirqe këndon, gjithmon këndon!
Leviz e shtruar, heshtur,
me simfoni të zgjedhur, në grupe zërash mbledhur, këmbora e blegërimash, në një koncert qiellor*.
Në krye është ai, gjithmon për bes Ai,
që shquhet prej së largu
nga plis i bardhë mbi kokë…
Ai pra është bariu, i vetmi, jetëgjati,
ai është shpëtimtari, që shekujt e nderuan,
çdo gjë të mirë i falën ndaj zë nis të këndoj`…
për një liri në paqe, në meditim e heshtje,
larg zhurmave plot brejtje,
njeri, njeri të mbetet , i bardh, i bardh pa njollë.
Kta quhen njerëz thjesht, sepse kështu u thonë,
por kur këndojnë, kur ecin, madje kur kuvendojnë,
i shoh që lartësohen, mbi yje fluturojnë…
po vallë pse janë të heshtur, kaq vetmitarë në dukje, të fortë, të mprehtë, të hekurt ?!
Kjo ndodh se janë të ngjashëm me Zotin që i deshi, që i nderoi mes njerzve, me plisat përmbi kokë.
